“TWINCHIE SWAP UPDATE!”

HI GIRLS

JUST LETTING YOU KNOW HOW WE ARE GOING WITH OUR TWINCHIE SWAP.

I AM STILL WAITING ON THREE LOTS OF TWINCHIES, I HAVE PM’D  THESE LADIES AND ONE LOT HAS BEEN SENT!

COULD YOU LET ME KNOW IF YOU CANT MAKE IT SO I CAN SWAP AND RETURN THE TWINCHIES OVER THE WEEKEND!

THANKS GIRLS!

“Altered Mini Album Tins!”

I bought a couple of small tins to alter at the paper show and I decided to get them out and have a play! I turned them into mini albums! One for mum to have as a brag book and one for me!

As they are metal I gessoed them and covered them with pp! I measured the insides of them and made an accordion album from pp to put inside with a ribbon tab to pull it out! I adhered it to the inside of the tin and used photos and embellies on each one!  On the outside I girlied them up with flowers etc!

“Got The Blues!”

No I haven’t really!!  These lovely lot of ATC’s I received this morning in the mail from the S.A. Atc Swap Group!  A great bunch of girls who I swap with every month!  This lot is from the “Blues” theme and they are so talented! More yummies to add to my album!

“OTP – “My Bits and Bobs!”

I decided to have a go at altering this for a challenge!

I wasn’t sure what to do, or if I even wanted to have a go at it.  Not that I haven’t got a few Kaiser OTP things I could have a go at!! I was thinking about doing a layout this arvo but changed my mind and  decided to give it a go!!!

I was helping mum awhile ago clean out a couple of kitchen cupboards and she was going to chuck this  “divided canister thingy” out, so you know me saw a bit of  ‘potential’ and adopted it!!!  I hated the colours and it was pretty retro so I decided to get it out, and give it a face lift!!

As it was shiny, I used a couple of coats of  Gesso Primer all over it so my paint would adhere to it!  I used some scrunched up glad wrap with some pink Acrylic paint to give it a textured look!

I adhered the lace around each compartment and some of my handmade flowers to the lid!  The Twiddleybitz  Butterfly, I Gessoed and dabbed some texture paste  and  paint over it!!

I havent done any OTP for a while and I really enjoyed getting messy and putting it together!

I think I will give it back to mum for “Mother’s Day and she can use it in her bedroom or sewing room for all her “Bits and Bobs!” lol!

“Purr-Fect!”

I created this lo today.  I didn’t do it as a challenge or anything; I had these few pics of Sam ‘helping’ me out as he does and I wanted to scrap them!!! I started with a sketch for a bit of direction, but it is completely different.  It  got me started and it didn’t take me long at all to put it together!!

I thought blues for a boy cat and for some reason I got ‘flowery”. Oh well for a cat layout it doesn’t really matter, does it?  It is what you would call’ monochromatic’ (all the same hues of one colour). I just enjoyed making this lo o f him to show what he gets up to on my desk all the time and into my wool! lol!     I know a few of you out there have the same trouble with your feline friends!! lol!!!

“On Silver Wings!”

I thought that title for my ATC’s was pretty cool as I joined in the “Metallic Theme ATC Swap for May” over at http://born2create.ning.com

The girls come up with great challenges and I had to have a good think about this one!  I used al foil as the base and embossed it in my Cuttlebug with butterflies!  I then punched out some butterflies using some Metal Shim, (thin metal sheeet!) then embossed it also!  I gave them a bit of dimension with some ink and foam dots!

They were a bit hard to photograph but you get the idea.   I am pretty pleased witht the final result! TFL 🙂

“THE CAKE!”

This time last year it was Cody’s 18th and as we were in Portland on holiday he missed out on going out for T and a cake!  So being the great mum that I am lol!,  when I went to Geelong yesterday I bought him a Black Forest cake to make up for it and for his 19th!   It is so yummy and fresh with chocolate and cherries; Cody’s favourite!!

Of course I had to snap a few pics of him with his cake!!! We are really enjoying sharing it with him of course!!! Now JJ has put in his order for his birthday in June!!!

“Getting A Bit Done!”

I have found a bit of inspiration, mojo whatever you call it!

I have managed to get my 2011 Project 12 pages up to date and also a couple of challenge layouts and a ATC for a swap!!!

The first layout is my double Review for March, I used a Page Maps sketch from my book and bits and pieces from my stash!!

The second layouts is a masking challenge and I also used one of Heather’s sketches!   I used a negative from some chipboard letters to mask the background and Tim Holtz mask for the title!!  Lots of fun scraping Cody’s birthday pics from our drive and lovely lunch together!

The white ATC I made for Kirsty’s swap at Born 2 Create!  Had to use only white which was a challenge and I did some layering with satin, lace, doily, flower, butterflies and flower!

Just wanted to thankyou girl for all the lovely comments and encouragement you leave me here! Greatly appreciated and glad you enjoy my post!!! x

“Crop Layouts!”

These two layouts I created at Janine’s crop day!   The layout of Cody was for the fortnightly Challenge at The Boxx. You had to tear and repair your layout!

It was so much fun grunging up this page of Cody! I tore the cardstock and pp and repaired it with staples!!!  I love this photo of Cody looking up at me for 5 seconds from computer.  I scraped about how the pic  reminds me of how much he is starting to  look  like me! Poor kid!

The photo’s of Jayden I remember taking one morning when JJ was in his first yr of school!  He would always give Sasha a goodbye kiss and cuddle and tell her he would see her after school!  It was sooo cute!!!

I used the inspiration for this layout to use a quote Challenge form CH. I used the Quote “Only You” and masking tape!!!  For both these layouts I used my embellishments I received from Heather’s lovely RAK!

“Janine -CM Consultant!”

This lovely lady is Janine Lucas and she is a Creative Memories consultant!

I had a great day scraping with her and a few other girls out at her place at Carlisle River a lovely 35km drive from Colac!  I love driving down to her place in the bush and scraping in her lovely studio overlooking  the beauitful countryside!!!

I managed to get 2 layouts done today of the boys inbetween chatting and catching up with Janine!  I will post them tomorrow as the light was no good to take photos by the time I got home! lol!

Creative Memories has come along way since they were first around!  If you would like her details so you can order some products from her, or attend a great workshops please contact me and I will pass it on!!!
