We family had our Xmas get together yesterday! We have Xmas day at home and then we catch up after which is easier with everyone working etc! 🙂 Cody couldn’t come as he was working but he did see his gran and pa earlier in the week! 🙂 My sis Ali, BIL Gav, niece Crystal and nephews Hayden and Mitchell came down from Ballarat! 🙂
As it was a lovely day we decided to take mum and dad out for the afternoon. We got fish and chips and had it in our Memorial Square under the elm trees! It was a lovely afternoon and mum and dad enjoyed getting out! The kids got to muck around together, and breather some fresh air! lol!
When dad got a bit weary we went back to Mercy place and sat in the family area and had dessert! Lovely fruit salad, sponge, chocolate strawberries and home made choccies! 🙂 Yep, felt like Xmas day all over again and I didn’t have much dinner tonite! Dad was well and truly ready for a good siesta! 🙂
Enjoying some lovely fish and chips in our park!
JJ and I 🙂
Just a few pics of our day!
Hope you have a Very Happy New Yr! and have a fun nite! Thank you to you all for following my blog and supporting me during 2012! xx

My boys have a lovely tortoise-shell cat called Trishka! She wandered away from where they stay with their dad and we were very worried about her!!
Of all evenings, Xmas Eve we found her and she had a very swollen and cut leg! We don’t know what happened to her? We phoned our local vet David and he met us with her and said it was broken and would have to be amputated! He thinks she got caught in a rabbit trap, by the damage done! 😦
What a shock and I was the one upset for the boys. JJ was with me as Cody was at work and he was so good comforting his mum!! 🙂
Trishka came through the operation really well, she is on medication for a while and will have her stitches out in three weeks! She is now living with us, safe from paddocks and traps, and when she gets stronger she will meet the rest of our Fur Balls! 🙂 She is making herself very at home with the boys!
Trishka has a big scar, but once her fur grows back you wont see it! She is adapting to 3 legs very well.
We still had a pet basket that our pups wouldn’t use!
She is a gorgeous tempered cat and is settling in to her new surrounds and she is becoming one of the ‘family’! 🙂

I have left my run a bit late with doing the December Challenge over at http://www.orangepaperieandco.blogspot.com.au/
I felt like have a scrap this avo as the boys are amusing themselves with their ‘new toys!’, and Belinda’s challenge to use non traditional Xmas colors was just what I needed to get the mojo happening! 🙂 You also had to use this sketch created by Annette which I converted to my smaller size! 🙂
And this is my take on it and if you click on image it will up-size for you! 🙂
This was a good challenge as I am a very traditional Xmas colour girl! lol!! No green or red what to do!!!
I used mainly Stampin’ Up! products on my layout. I stamped the background using a small acrylic block for the distressed, grungy look, some machine stitching, added images from the new Joyous Celebration clear stamp set with the ink colours Calypso Coral and Midnight Muse!! I used some retired Designer Series Paper called Hounds tooth. These pics were of Cody and dad about 10 years ago! The boys always went around to papa’s to get the Reindeer Food, (carrots) to leave out for Rudolph!!
Thanks for the challenge girls!! I really enjoyed getting these photos scraped! 🙂

Hasn’t the year gone so fast and only 6 sleeps till the big man arrives!! 🙂 Cleaning up this week, motivated me to put the tree up!! didn’t feel like fighting with our big tree but found this cute one and it has done the job!
It didn’t need a lot of decorating and the colored bauble we had were just the thing! Now it does feel like Xmas! 🙂

I have decided in ‘2013’ to join an online class with “Ali Edwards” called ‘One Little Word’
You may have seen it on the net or on her blog at aliedwards.com. I am a member at Big Picture Classes and I have registered over there! 🙂 It is a year-long class and you get can work at your own pace! 🙂 You can pop on over to Ali’s blog and get an idea of what it is all about and see some of her previous yrs challenges!!
As you know I have had a very big 2012 with lots of family things going on and changes which I am still dealing with! 🙂 All year things have seem complicated and hard and I am really over it!! I haven’t had nearly enough time to do the things that I enjoy doing like my garden, learning new things and of course my scrap booking, or just being able to read a book! I know lots of you are in this situation too and I am not complaining, just sick of things the way they are! I haven’t been able to keep up with my Project Life like I had intended and I decided not to do a December Daily Challenge this year with so much going on! I am not going to complicate my life by taking on too much and making it harder for myself! I have already started this process with a de-cluttering of our home and it feels soo good! I think this is where it all started from! 🙂
Of course I am going to have challenges and one of those is going to be getting back into the workforce, but I have a plan and that is one thing that may make it easier for me. 🙂 I think with everything that has been going on I am just tired and need things to be easier and less complicated. 🙂 “I suppose like everyone else!”
So with this in mind and the changes I am making and want to continue to make in ‘2013’ my word for this challenge is “SIMPLIFY” –
I will be using this word in my daily life and my decisions throughout the yr to help make my year better brighter and of course “SIMPLER” – which means to make less complex or complicated, make plainer or easier. I feel this is a more manageable challenge for me to be able to keep scrapping and see the end result at the end of 2013. 🙂
I hope a few of you might come along with me for the ride!!
