“Blind Scrap”

I joined in over @ http://www.scrapbooksavvy.com.au/store2/ in the forum for a Blind Scrap!

What is a Blind Scrap you say? It is a scrap on-line, following directions, with no photos and getting a page scraped!! Lots of fun and Sarah Ward’s instructions were wonderful and I am so happy with my page! Now to see if mine is anything like how the other girl’s layouts turn out that joined in also ๐Ÿ™‚

We can post our photos today, but Sarah in keeping us in suspense with her layout until later in the week!! ๐Ÿ™‚

004-001

I used some pp, card stock and embellies from a kit by Deja’ Views, called a\A Cat’s Life and they are lovely! ๐Ÿ™‚

With all the lovely layering on this I didn’t want to overload with embellies, so just used what Sarah suggested ๐Ÿ™‚ This is a photo of our ‘newbie’ Trishka around Xmas time last yr when she was hurt and needed an operation! She has settled in really well, and she has made herself quite at home! Another one to spoil!

“Happy Days Together!”

This is my second layout I have finished from my kit! Sarah’s instructions have been great and I am enjoying the work she has put into it!!

As mum and dad have been through a lot lately, it was nice to find this photo off them awhile ago when they were both in good health! This was taken about 2003, when their grand kids were only young and they were so full of life and energy! ๐Ÿ™‚

005-001

My paint on the background is a bit paler on the Kraft than I would have liked, but it still looks ok with the lovely pp and bits!ย  I really like the negative space on this one. Another layout done and in the family album! Precious memories for sure ๐Ÿ™‚

“60 Years Married!”

What a wonderful milestone 60 yrs married is these days! My Aunty and Uncle have just celebrated that today and it was a very happy day!

I took mum to Warrnambool in the horrible heat, but so glad I did! We had a great day catching up with my aunts, uncles and cousins. It was great for mum to get out and enjoy herself.

It was like a mini ‘family reunion’ and lots of laughs and memories made! Of course lots of photos too! ๐Ÿ™‚

010-001ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  This is a photo of mum with her sister Jean, Clarice and brother Colin! ๐Ÿ™‚ Sadly missing is Aunty Meryl who passed away from MS quite a few yrs ago now ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

My cousin Loris with her favourite Aunty! ๐Ÿ™‚

032-001

My cousins with their mum and dad ๐Ÿ™‚

034-001

My cousins (l-r) , Lynette, John (me), Loris, Anthea and Marilyn! Sadly their youngest brother Gary died in an accident. We all grew up together when mum shifted back to Warrnambool, from Sale after our dad died! As Gary, Alison and I were the youngest, they always had time for us, and they got us into playing tennis ๐Ÿ™‚

So happy with this photo and so many wonderful memories of us all together! ๐Ÿ™‚

“5 Grand Kids!”

It is quite warm in western Vic today and not venturing outside till later! Yep being a girl lol!

So sitting by the fan I thought I would attack my gorgeous kit I got from Sarah Ward who I know on Facebook ๐Ÿ™‚

The kit she put together is enough to make four layouts and she included her step by step instructions for putting the pages together ๐Ÿ™‚

This is my first page using some lovely Basic Grey pp and bits from my stash!

004-001Aren’t the colours gorgeous! Some pics of mum and the ‘grandies’ from last yr. There are only 5 but that is a good number for mum to keep track off ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I made the rolled rose, misted some doilies and punched the butterflies! I had a little accident while inking the edges of the background paper so thought it was better to cut it down a bit!

006-001These rolled flowers are so easy and inexpensive to make! I just drew a circle with the inside of my tape, which is what Sarah suggested to do. Cut around the circle to you get to the middle, then roll it in and add a bit of glue to keep it stuck, ๐Ÿ™‚ Too easy ๐Ÿ™‚

One down and three to go! I am have fun, but need a little break so might have another go at Donkey Kong on the Wii. Yep me playing a video game, and even funnier Cody teaching me lol!!

Have a great evening

“Sun Loving”

I haven’t done as much scraping for our CC as I was hoping to do! It was so hot over the weekend and too sticky to sit at my desk.ย  ๐Ÿ˜ฆย  It has been a lot cooler here the last couple of days and today I wanted to have a go Liz’s CC challenge!

002-001I decided on another double page as I had some lovely photos of my roses in bloom and wanted to use them as 4×6 size. ๐Ÿ™‚ For the challenge you had to make a sun, use a two-word title and only use three flowers! ๐Ÿ™‚ I made the sun by making a washi flower and adding some ribbon at the back, my title is ‘Sun Loving’ and the three flowers are a paper rose and two resin roses on the small doily next the banner ๐Ÿ™‚ I wanted it to have summer feel to it so used white card stock misted and some embellies! I didn’t use any pp and I made a washi banner!

I hope you have all enjoyed playing along with our CC this weekend and hope you got some scraping done too! ๐Ÿ™‚

“Siblings!”

Yep, we all have them, love’m or hate’m! ๐Ÿ™‚ I have had these photos for a while of Dad’s 90th Birthday and think they got lost!

Melissa’s CC challenge was a recipe and you had to choose 4 things from her list to show on your layout!

009-001

Dad has three sisters, Aunty Daisy, Winnie and Eileen! Not often they are all together ๐Ÿ™‚ These are quite good photos of them and apart from being 8 years older they are still looking great!

I used layering, a pocket for my journaling, vintage style and dry emboss using the Stampin’ Up! Hexagon emboss folder andย  I made the flowers using a border punch. I crumpled and inked the pp and doily, added some netting and some washi! To do the distressing I used our new SU Distress Tool ๐Ÿ™‚

009-002ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  This shows you my flower cluster better!

I had a visitor today and it was great catching up with my friend from Geelong Amy! We met through the Home and Scraped forum where we are members ๐Ÿ™‚ Great when us ‘Home’ girls can get together ๐Ÿ™‚

005-001This is quite a good pic of us and our mess on the kitchen table! Kicked the boys off! lol! We were working on the same challenge from the CC and yes we finished it ๐Ÿ™‚
