Who knows what ‘normal’ is! lol! My life has been so upside down for a while now and I am slowly feeling things are slowing down! For me ‘normal’ is only going to see mum and dad once or twice a week now, getting things done around the house that have needed doing and it feels so good to be getting back into my garden! 🙂
This week, I have been out in the fresh air, away from the computer and my scrap table and have enjoyed getting into the dirt and my plants again! My poor garden has been pretty neglected and I have no idea how my roses survive!!
This week so far I have removed 4 roses and replace with lavender which is a nice change for me. I rescued a few plants from mums and replanted and gave them some TLC!! 🙂 I have used her old cane wash basket and planted it up and also some terracotta pots and bits I have found!! 🙂
I bought myself some plants and seedlings and been have fun making our porch into a ‘outdoor room’! I put some lattice up for a bit of protection from the wind and privacy and I have added pot plants in an assortment of different pots. As I got some lovely wrought iron pieces for Xmas they are now hanging up too! 🙂
With the weather being warmer I am enjoying sitting out of an evening and enjoying my hard work! 🙂
This desk I used to use for scraping, but as it isn’t as sturdy as it used to be I decided to recycle it for a potting bench instead of turfing it!
Cody took this one of me, just to show that I do more than sit at my computer and scrap all day! lol!!
The old wash basket that I lined with some left over shade cloth so the water would drain and planted with a daisy and some begonias!
This is the end of our porch that faces the road and the lattice looks good and blocks the wind and nosy people! 🙂 All my pots that I up- cycled into planters are sitting on an old fish tank stand! 🙂
Sorry about all the pics! Last one! This is the view from the front steps!! My roses in the foreground, with mum’s large pot of orchids by the window, my outdoor setting where I can enjoy my work and watch my garden grow!! 🙂
TFL 🙂 Kerri x
