“Who Needs Inspiration!”

I know I do at the moment!! With the internet, magazines and lots going on you would think I wold be scraping my heart out! But no, its just not happening!!

Have you heard of Big Picture Classes? I hadn’t either till I signed up for one of Shimelle Laine’s classes and it was the best thing to do!!! Learn something new and get out of my rut!!! The classes are put together by Becky Higgins, Ali Edwards, Cathy Zielske, Donna Downy,Heidi Swapp, Stacey Julian, Jenni Bowlin, Nic Howard, and Tammy Tuttereow just to name a few!!!

I am subscribed to their blog here      http://www.bigpictureclasses.com/     I am so glad I did! there is so much inspiration going on over there!! I have just signed up to do their 28 Sketches in 28 Days class and it starts on the 29th! I can’t wait to get the scraping flowing through my veins again!! lol!!! They have lots of classes that you can do in your own time and you get all the info you need to complete the course!!

This class starts tmorrow, 29/3 and I can’t wait to get going!  I think I need a break from challenges and just do my own thing!!  I have some photos I just haven’t done anything with and this might be just what I need! 🙂

As I love sketches I thought I would give it a go and who knows what I might learn from these talented ladies!!! Got nothing to loose and so much to gain!! I will be scraping away in no time!! 🙂

Stay tuned and I will share with you what I am learning or why not join me and join up too!! 🙂

“Catching Up!”

There doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day lately even with daylight savings! lol!! I am so glad it is school holidays at the end of this week here in Victoria and a bit of a break for JJ and me!

Cody has settled into his job and getting his first pay today was massive! Not having money for so long he doesn’t take it for granted!!  He is working late shift but doesn’t mind and he gets on so well with everyone!! We still need to get a few driving hours up but will get there!!

I haven’t scraped for about 3 weeks! I know it is sad!! I just can’t seem to juggle everything atm! Sort of lost the Mojo I think! 😦  Mum is more demanding and my time is not my own! I am really enjoying my Stampin Up workshops and it gives me something else to think about and gets me out of the house! lol!!!

I have been paying off a new dining suite and I had it delivered today! it is a lovely 5 piece in dark wood and I love it that it is mine and have no debt!! I have moved my scrap space back out to the kitchen and I have the suite in the lounge room!! Better than seeing my mess everywhere! lol!!

I even bought a nice new mat too!!  Just waiting for Cody to come home and the boys will gather to play computer games together! lol!!

I hope to get some Water Coloring done some time this week, as I need to brush up on my technique for a workshop I have in April!! We have our CC at Challenge Heaven this week which will be fun also!!

I am off to the International Flower and Garden Show in Melbourne on Saturday with my friend Pam and am look forward to it! The weather is supposed to be great!!

Hope you have a great week!! TFL 🙂 Kerri x

“My Day Job!”

I am currently keeping busy with my Stampin’ Up! business! Our Summer Mini and Sale A Bration promotion has been fantastic for building my business!  It is like having a part-time job again!! It gets me sharing what I love and inspiring other ladies to scrapbook and learn new techniques to extend their scrap booking!! ‘I have been having so much fun with a lovely group of ladies at Dereel in Victoria!! They must have enjoyed my two workshops I have done for them as they have asked me to come back monthly!!

I am really happy they are enjoying what I am teaching them, and it is fun to spend the afternoon with them and earn a bit of pocket-money from doing something I love!! 🙂

This is the layout I finished for them as an example and it was great to see them trying out the Stampin’ Around Wheels and seeing their lovely pages they created!!

They used my layout as a guide and added their own touches! Yep I forgot my camera! doh!! Our lovely hostess Ruth received some lovely FREE goodies for her effort organizing the day and the girls are going to take turns being the host!! Share the love!!! April is Judy’s turn and I am going to be teaching them Water coloring and how to use it on a layout with some lovely new DSP and stamps from the new Autumn/Winter Mini which starts on the 1/4!

You can hop on over to my new Demo Website then to see all the new products!!!

“Layout In Progress!”

Hi Everyone,

I know I have been a bit AWOL this last week!  Appointments for mum and dad, Cody starting his new job and being sick also had me on the hop a bit! lol!! Things have settled and Cody is enjoying his job, even more when he gets his first pay! lol!! Don’t think I have even had time for the ‘mojo’ to even flow!

I have another Stampin’ Up! workshop next Wednesday which I am really look forward to! This months promotions have kept me busy and ‘working’! Just wanted to share you my ‘work in progress’ layout for this workshop! Ruth, my lovely Hostess, wants to learn how to use our Stampin’ Around Wheels and I jumped at the chance to show how versatile and time-saving they are! I do have a ‘little collection’ of them! hehe!!

This is the basic design. The girls will get to use the Wheels and play with some of the Spice Cake DSP available till the 31/3. I am still playing with the embellies and just waiting for my order to come on Monday which has a new stamp set and a couple of new punches I want to use on it also!!

I had a few scraps left over and made a few cards to show how quick it makes a background for pages or cards!

I was having fun playing and made a few ‘Grunge Flowers‘ with the Scallop Punch to use up my left overs!! My tutorial for making these is above in the Header!

I will show the finished layout very shortly!!

“So Proud!”

This photo I took of Cody before his job interview at Irrewarra Sourdough last Tuesday morning! They are local bakery here in Colac and he applied for a Bakery Assistant position! His friend Dan is an apprentice there!

He look very grown up in his black pants and white shirt. His interview went really well and he got a call from the owner on the Thursday night to come in Friday for a trial!

He loved it and now has a job!! Yipee! So deserved! Congrats mate, you know how proud of you I am!!

A Great Workshop!

I demonstrated at  a workshop for a lovely group of ladies in Dereel, near Ballarat yesterday!! We had a fantastic day and the ladies produced some lovely work!

Brenda arranged a wonderful workshop for me and she had 10 of her friends come for an afternoon of scraping and of course chatting! They seemed to be  a very close group and it was a great day!!  They must have been happy with me as I booked two workshops from it as well!! The Hostess received some wonderful FREE Stampin Up Products that she earn’t from inviting her guests and he sales on the day!!

I made these Diaper Fold Bags for Door prizes, they liked wining one!

This is my example that I created for the girls to use as a guide to create their own work!

The lovely Hostess Brenda created this lovely layout of her parents!!

This layout is lovely with the large photo of the boys and it is a great boy layout with the butterflies!!

I am really happy they enjoyed learning the tearing technique I taught them and how to stamp and make embellishments from their images!
