No, not house moving but scrap room moving! I know there must be something really wrong with me! I think there is too sometimes!
Cody even said “mum, I will bet you twenty bucks that you will shift your scrapbooking stuff again this year!” Well I took him up on that bet hoping I can finally stay where I have moved!
I think it is because I re-organised my bits and pieces and didn’t have a big enough table to work from that I moved! I left the kitchen table in the lounge from my scrappy day with Sheryn and that was bad idea as I was using it and spreading stuff everywhere! I then realised I limited my scrap table space just a bit!
I re-organised my stickers into a binder with page protectors so I could find what I was looking for and sorted out my very messy scraps into their colours so I will use them up! I have all my embellishments in one basket and my 12×12 cs and paper close in reach now with my sticker binder!
I have my most used tools and bits like my ‘new’ spice rack embellishment caddy, pens and pencils, sissors, glue etc on my desk and other things like stamps, blocks, inks, etc near me also; and then my Cuttlebug, and other tools I don’t use as much on the other side! I might actually get some scrapping done this weekend as I will be able to find things! Yipee!
I think now using up my stash will be more fun because I know what I have now and I wont be doubleing up on products I already have and I have found items that I had forgotten about!
I picked up this lovely wire dress from the reject shop that I thought would look nice with part of my ever growing ribbon collection hanging on it! I am quite happy with it sitting on my desk! It is functional and a bit of ‘home decor’. I hope you all don’t think I am going silly and that maybe my ‘spring clean’ has inpired you to rethink your scrapbooking organisation!
“If you cant find it, you wont use it!”
I’ve been having heaps of fun at Scrability Sketches and doing all the Soup Challenges! This is my last one! (boo hoo!).
For this challenge Bek wanted us to use a technique and describe how we did it, use black and white photos of our Family, and create a sketch based on our lo!
I did Masking and Stamping for my technique using the Tim Holtz Mini Misters filled with dye ink re-inkers and water. I then sprayed it over butterflies which I stamped, cut out and adhered to my cardstock with re-positionable tape! Then when the ink dried I removed the stamped images and it produces the masked effect! Then I stamped the “Kaszazz” flourish randomely over the page before attatching my photos, title and a few more butterfly embellies!!
I scrap lifted this layout by Rebecca Marsh one of talented “Kaszazz” consultants! I found this in the Demonstrator section of “Kaszazz” in our workshop Instructions. I changed the colours and sketch it a little to suit my photos! A great way to get inspiration from other talented scrapbookers for your scrapbooking!
Alison’s first Kaszazz workshop went very well! She had a few friends come around and she demonstrated a card and then they made one! She did well for her first demo and as she does more workshops she will build her confidence and her routine of how she presents things! We had a couple of little helpers in ‘Sam and Taylor” and they were really good kids!
She got a few orders and one of the ladies booked a workshop with her in a fortnight! She is going to do monthly in-home workshops and I think she will work up a strong customer base!
I was there to help her and mainly answered a few questions about products and guided her a bit! I did a display of our products and cards and layouts I had made! Showed them different stamps, inks, scrapbooking kits, paper collections and a range of patterned papers that we have! This created a lot of interest and I think it helped get a booking and orders! When customers see and use products they usually buy them. The products sell them sells!
I wish her well and I think she is going to have a great business!
As some of you know my little Sis is joing my “Kaszazz Team!”
Alison is having her first workshop this Sunday and I have been busy making layouts and projects up to make a display for her! This showcases our products and her new customers can get ideas of workshops they might like to have!
She is doing a “Make and Take”, where she demonstrates a couple of cards and then one for her friends to make! These are a great quick workshop and not to complicated if you have begginers in the class!
She is going to be showing the girls how to make a couple of cards and one of the cards from the Oscar Owl Card Set on page 19 of our current Catalogue!
I will be there to give her a hand if she needs it and helping out! There will be probably lots of questions to answer about workshops and our products that Ali is still learning about! I think she will do a great job!
I made a different card with Oscar that is also in the catty and two cards and a layout showing how versatile our “Rollagraph Wheels are! These are easy to use and heaps of fun for cards and scrapbooking layouts!
The first pic is of the Concertina Card Album that we will be making at my May workshop on Sunday 16th May at 1.30pm!This one I have use pics of my roses and I am going to make one for Mother’s Day with photos of my mums garden in it for her!
The layout I have made with a border of the “Four Flowers Wheel”, and the pics are of my great scrappy friends Sheryn, Mary and her daughter!
Hope you can come along and learn how to make this card/albuum with me!
Good evening everyone,
Had time to get on computer last night and discovered I had make it through to Week 5 of Scrability sketches Soup Challenge! This has been sooo much fun and gets me out of my comfort zone!
This challenge recipe used a sketch, the colour blue, masking, more than 2 pattern papers, pearls and stamping! These are a few pics of Cody and the title had to go down the side so I added the journalling as well!
This is a great community to join if you like using sketches and they really help with the design which I am not that great with! Have been using them alot lately and getting pages done quicker!
Just letting you all know that I will be away from the 14th – 18th of April. we are going fishing for a few days so will have plenty of pics and ‘fishy tales’ to share with you when we get back! The boys are pretty excited and cant wait! We are staying on the beach and with a bit of luck the weather will be a bit better later in the week! Mum has been dobbed in to be my pet sitter and she does a great job!
Catcha when I get home and back into my scrapping before I have to go back to work! I am thoroughly enjoying my long service leave and I am not missing my 5am wake up calls! hehe! Hope you dont miss me too much! LOL!
