“A Flowery Weekend!”

I received a great fabric flower order from my friend Jacqui Miles and didn’t quite have enought to make it up so I have been replenishing my fabric flower stash! I have a made a heap of Shabby, yo-yo’s, frayed , and rolled roses to fill my order and my big jar again! It is very relaxing making them and I am going to try a few new ones also and will post them when I have made some! I have plenty in reserve if you would like to purcahse some of them!  Prices for them are down on the right in the side-bar under Pages of Interest! You can email me at stampnaddict@bigpond.com.com with any queries! x

“Look What I Got!”

This lovely package of goodies I received today in the mail from Mary Bennetts! She was my partner in the “Box of Whimsy” swap over at Challenge Heaven!

I sent Mary a similar package with things she likes to scrap with and’ no’purple” and she sent me this gorgeous package of boy stuff and ‘no orange’! We just went through our stashes and maybe added a little bought item! For the cost of a bit of postage I wouldn’t have been able to buy all these’ hand-picked embellies’ out for layouts and projects!

My package had, bling, stickers, buttons, book pages, cutouts, doilies, flowers tags, fozz felt and ribbons all to use on my boy layouts that I am always making and a few girly one’s too!

Thanks again Mary for this wonderful surprise!

Why wouldn’t you join in swaps for a teeny bit of effort and postage, to add beautiful things to your stash at a fraction of the cost!

“Boot Camp?”

Hi everyone! I’ve just joined Boot Camp over at The Blue Bazzar forum! No I haven’t got the boot! This is a great challenge to all us scrapers to use 50 photos, 50 sheets of pp and 50 sketches to get some serious scrapping done and ‘use that stash!”

Well I know I’m not one to talk as I haven’t got much scrapping done so far in this half of the year, but I still got excited when I read that Blue Bazaar are having another Crop Bootcamp…..I have no idea why the idea excites me. I think I must just love the name Crop Bootcamp….I never got around to  completing some layouts last year after downloading all the sketches , but this year I am determined to do it!!!!!
This time though I feel like….I NEED to do this bootcamp!
Not just to get rid of the stash (which I am so over not depleting) but also to get scrapping again and doing it quickly so that it doesn’t feel like a chore that I avoid coming back to. They will email you all the info and sketches closer to the date!
I noticed they have made it 2 months this time rather than one month like previously (perhaps they found it was impossible for people to complete), Anyway, here is the link…

This time I really feel inspired by the opening banner….”Thrifty 50…start with 50 photos, add 50 layout sketches and 50 sheets of paper” …for some reason. .
Anybody want to be in it with me?
What are you waiting for, get to it!

I’m off to find a my papers and  my photos; will post a pic of them when I have organised them!

P.S. While you are here scroll down to my Blog Candy; leave a comment to go in the draw!!!

“Feathers, Fur and Fins!”

This is the theme for the August ATC swap at http://www.born2create.ning.com

Chris has a great ATC swap every month and I went for the ‘feathers’ for my cards! You could do cats, dogs, fish, etc to cover the theme! I am really enjoying being there with the girls and making some ATC’s! I used distress inks and misted the backgound,  then stamped a few different stamps for the collage look! I am very pleased with tthe result! I couldn’t quite grasp the collage /vintage look but I think I am more familiar with it now!

“Cyber Crop Layouts!”

It was sooo much fun being involved in the Challenge Heaven Cyber Crop this weekend! I got to play a game Friday night with the girls in the Chat room and I won a little prize from Marcia. I also participated in Shell’s Blind Scrap Saturday night and made this layout of Kaitlyn and Jayden at the start of this year, one night  just hanging out together! they are such good buds! I used Kaisercraft papers for this one and some, buttons, brads and a couple of my crocheted butterflies!

The other layout with Cody walking Nitro! hehe! was a challenge to use a sequence of photos to tell the story! I love using lots of photos so that was fun! I used the Kaszazz  Bazzill cardstock, and the “Enchanted – journal Mist ” Kaszazz  double-sided paper! I just love that collection! I also used a Kaszazz  journal block stamp and a lovely tree embellishment from our swap!

It was nice to get some photos scraped with being busy with swaps, my workshop and  my mini albums!
