It is quite warm in western Vic today and not venturing outside till later! Yep being a girl lol!
So sitting by the fan I thought I would attack my gorgeous kit I got from Sarah Ward who I know on Facebook 🙂
The kit she put together is enough to make four layouts and she included her step by step instructions for putting the pages together 🙂
This is my first page using some lovely Basic Grey pp and bits from my stash!
Aren’t the colours gorgeous! Some pics of mum and the ‘grandies’ from last yr. There are only 5 but that is a good number for mum to keep track off 🙂 I made the rolled rose, misted some doilies and punched the butterflies! I had a little accident while inking the edges of the background paper so thought it was better to cut it down a bit!
These rolled flowers are so easy and inexpensive to make! I just drew a circle with the inside of my tape, which is what Sarah suggested to do. Cut around the circle to you get to the middle, then roll it in and add a bit of glue to keep it stuck, 🙂 Too easy 🙂
One down and three to go! I am have fun, but need a little break so might have another go at Donkey Kong on the Wii. Yep me playing a video game, and even funnier Cody teaching me lol!!
Have a great evening

I must admit I have been lacking in the journaling part of my scrap booking, but that is changing! 🙂 I think I have realized I like telling a bit more of the story on my layouts and doing ”one little word’ has really helped me see its importance!
I am journaling everyday this yr as a challenge to myself and so I have more of our stories written down! I couldn’t find a bought journal that I really liked so I decided to make my own and use some things out of my stash! 🙂
I was going to alter a book, but would have been too bulky so instead I pulled all the pages out and up cycled it! 🙂
This is the book I attacked! 🙂 I ended up taking the spine out also to make it easier to bind.
This is the finished front cover! I sanded it first then added the title, stamped and masked with gesso, and the butterflies with paint! Finished off with a bit of washi which u will see though out my journal! 🙂
I used different pattern papers from my stash with index cards, tags and postcards to journal on and I will add some photos here and there!
These are just a few pages that I have slightly decorated with stamps and washi! 🙂 It isn’t too big that it wont fit in my bag if I go anywhere and can jot down things if I want too! Why don’t you have a go at making your own! 🙂 I am getting into the habit of sitting down in the evening and writing in my days events, good or bad whatever goes on! 🙂
