It was really hard for mum, dad, myself and my boys to have to say goodbye to Buddy before Xmas! He has been with mum and dad since a pup and he has been a loyal and faithful companion for mum and dad! 🙂
Dad was really stressed about what was going to happen to him as they couldn’t take him into Mercy with them. My sister, and family have him and he is doing so well, and is now part of their family with their other dog and two cats 🙂
I wanted to scrap this memory so dad would have some pics of him and of course mum and I have seen him and he hasn’t forgotten us. 🙂 Dad is happy knowing he is well looked after and he gets photos and reports from my sis 🙂
I haven’t had much time to play in my scrap space, so today was lots of fun using a few things from my stash to do these pics. I accidentally used the criteria for Heather’s May challenge @ Home too, so bonus 🙂
I masked and misted the background and cut some pp for odd bits of the letters, I used some paint and texture paste on the heart and around the edges of the card stock and the washi tape, tags, alphas etc are from my stash 🙂 I so miss scraping in my daily life at the moment and with no homework this week I am have a play. 🙂

As you know if you read my blog, I am flat out with my Age Care course and not having much time to play in my scrap space 😦 I am enjoying the course and finished Module 5 Assessment 🙂
I have had the flu this week and not feeling that great, also my Aunty passed away and I was unable to take mum to her funeral 😦 I was feeling a bit better today and I was itching to do something crafty. I had some photos of my mums family and I wanted to put them onto a canvas for her to brighten up her room and hopefully cheer her up 🙂
The canvas I decided on was quite large and I wanted to have a few photos on it! I decided on the four that looked the best and off I went 🙂 I painted it all over roughly with some Kaiser blue pain then I had fun adding some layers and texture with some stamps and texture paste. I had fun using a Kaiser mask, crafters workshop template, and some bubble wrap to get some depth 🙂 I used some Tim Holtz chipboard, D-Lish flowers and bits and bobs from my stash as well 🙂
I used these family photos, taken at a family gathering a few weeks ago. As mum doesn’t remember she has photo albums in her wardrobe, I thought this would brighten her room up and she can see it everyday 🙂
The flower cluster is gorgeous flowers from http://d-lishscraps.openstores.com.au/ I buy white ones and then I just colour them with Distress Stain and Glimmer mist to match my project 🙂 The Tim Holtz chippy and the leaves I bought from a couple of lovely sellers at the Aussie Scrap Garage Group of FB 🙂
I am hoping to do a bit more scrapping will see what happens 🙂

This is my second layout I have finished from my kit! Sarah’s instructions have been great and I am enjoying the work she has put into it!!
As mum and dad have been through a lot lately, it was nice to find this photo off them awhile ago when they were both in good health! This was taken about 2003, when their grand kids were only young and they were so full of life and energy! 🙂
My paint on the background is a bit paler on the Kraft than I would have liked, but it still looks ok with the lovely pp and bits! I really like the negative space on this one. Another layout done and in the family album! Precious memories for sure 🙂

I haven’t done any OTP for so long! When I went shopping on Saturday I bought this desk caddy, as I am sick of the clutter and all the little baskets of stuff taking up my work space! I also bought the Large Desk Organizer and I have just started on that one!!
I painted the edges with some Antique White, and the base with a soft green paint then covered it with some papers from the lovely Precious Moments 12×12 paper stack that I have had for a while and done nothing with! 🙂 It is lovely and feminine and sort of ‘shabby chic!”
I have this in the corner and it is perfect for all my scrap stuff I need handy! Both sides there is two drawers and the side bit for scissors and rulers etc! Thus when it revolves I can get to everything with ease! I didn’t want it too decorated and only did a couple of flowers and Twiddleybitz scrolls and butterflies on both sides and a touch of bling!!
