“Mid Week #27 Sketch Challenge!”

I was looking for a sketch to create a layout of Cody’s Motorbike photos! I wanted to do a double layout  and use a few photos!

I decided to check out http://scrapysketches.blogspot.com.au/ and see what Heather might have over on her blog of inspiration that I could use! As it happens her new sketch for this week was up and lucky enough too it was a double page one!!

This is Heather’s Week 27 sketch and it is a great one for some landscape 4×6 photos!

I managed to get 4 portrait and one landscape photo on mine! I wanted to tell the story of Cody going out for a ride on this double layouts! I used some pp from Kaiser and I made the transparency border and compass! I used ‘Carpe Diem’ for the title as I think it says it all: “Seize The Day”…..

If you click on the pictures you will get a better look at them! 🙂

This is a close up of the transparencies and the Stampin Up! title I used, sprayed with mist and stamped on! I wanted a masculine feel to the page so with all the pics I didn’t go overboard with embellishing!

Thanks Heather for your wonderful sketch as it got me motivated do scrap these photo’s! Don’t forget to hop on over and check the sketches out! 🙂

“Still Here!”

I know, I know I haven’t been around much! I hate not having time to keep my blog updated! I do apologise!

As usual keeping busy! Cody is loving his job and of course the money, JJ has been hitting the books and doing a great terms work and me I have been flat-out! Took time out yesterday to catch up with Mary which was great!  I am walking with Pam a couple of nights a week and enjoying it even though the weather is now a little chillier!!

I am really busy with my SU hobby as well! I have just had my sister join my team and I also have another lovely lady joining me this week!! Ali is coming down on Sunday to help start a bit of a clean up at mums and to have a bit of 1 on 1 training!!  I have been busy getting ready for a workshop in a couple of weeks and so much is happening at SU it is really exciting!!

I am really looking forward to having a weekend break at Port Fairy with nine other lovely ladies from down this way the first weekend in August! A scraping and fun-filled weekend with like minded girls is just what the doctor ordered! lol!! I need a mini break!!

I have scraped a couple of layouts and here is what I have created!!

This is a 8.5×11 double layout I made to scrap some of the photos that I took at the two Garden Shows that Pam and I went to in Feb/March! I used all Stampin’ Up products!!

This one I had fun with today as it has definitely been stay in doors weather today here in Vic!!

This is Step By Step Challenge that I did with The Boxx girls!! Also I am pretty happy as I won the May sketch Challenge with my “I Luv To Stamp” Layout!!

This is dad @ 97 still pottering around in the garden!! 🙂 All SU except the cogs emboss folder and I made the fence!!

Well I hope I get back here a bit more often to catch you up on what I have been up to! You can find me on FB and I lurk a bit in a few forums too.  I update my Stampin’ Up! Website also~

Thanks For Looking 🙂 Kerri x

“Scraplift Challenge – & Week 5 !”

Do you get stuck sometimes, you have a layout to start on but everything goes blank!!

A scrap lift is the perfect solution!! Have a look in all the galleries of forums, blogs on the net, and even magazines.  If  you see a layout done by someone else use it for your inspiration and just let everyone know who the artist was,  so there is no copyright troubles!

I created this layout for Sarah’s Challenge at Home and Scraped! To use a song title and use that on your layout, make it Summery and scrap lift someones work! I was flicking through this months Australian Scrapbook Ideas which is my fave mag at the moment and found this gorgeous page created by the oh so talented Karen Shady!!!  Have a look at Karen’s beautiful blog for some more inspiration or drooling! lol!!

I took these pics of dad and my boys yesterday and knew this is what I wanted to scrap!!  They were sitting under the trees in the yard and having a chat! The photos are Summery, but I wanted to scrap them a bit vintage! I used Stevie Wonder’s 1966 song title “A Place In The sun’ as my page title! As this was going to be an extra 365 page I decided to make a companion page for it with the rest of this weeks pics!! I am quite happy with this double  layout!!

I think they have blended quite well together and thanks Karen for the inspiration!!

“My Faves for 2011!”

One of the members at Challenge Heaven, Leah Cameron thought it would be a good idea for us to post our Fave Layouts from 2011 and share them with you all! What a great idea Leah!  I have done a lot of scraping this yr looking back and so many happy memories! It was a big decision but here are my top 10 in no particular order!!

This was a fun challenge to use black and blights. Couldn’t go past this pic of Cody as a bub!

This was a pic of where my grandmother lived when we were little! I loved doing the collage!

I loved this pic of Cody, he is growing up too fast!

This was a double layout to show that J is a bit of a home body and that he has settled so well into me Home Schooling him!

I was trying our a different style and trying to learn how to match patterns here!

I did a workshop to show the girls how to mosaic on a layout! Pics of JJ and Dad!

This was a challenge lo to used pattern papers in a different way! I had always wanted to try to quilt some pattern papers!

This was my wedding day and is my fave layout that I have done so far for my Stampin’ Up! album.

I love this photo of mum when she was 21.  I scanned the original and had to scrap it!

This is a 6×12 I did earlier in the year of my niece Crystal and me! She is the only niece I have and we are very close!

I had to sneak this one in too out of my December Daily, as it was a fun Xmas Day!

I don’t think I will be scrapign so many in 2012 as I am sarting my project 365 in one more sleep!! lol!!

There are so many layouts I love that I have done this yr and I hope you enjoyed a little ‘walk down memory lane” with me!

Happy New Year!
