“Who says you can’t buy HAPPINESS!”

I created this collage layout this afternoon when I came home! Very de-stressing! This CC challenge was to use 5 of the items you used on your layout! I haven’t really dabbled in this style, but thought because I wanted to put so much on the layout to show you I decided to give it a go!

I used 5 different inks, 5 diff pattern papers, 5 photos of my layouts, 5 photos of my scrap space, 5 buttons, 5 words, 5 bits of my title, 5 pieces of mesh and 5 product labels! This made me smile this avo with the title of my lo!

“Comfort!”

This layout I completed today! Another Challenge Heaven’s May Madness  CC Challenge! This was heaps of fun to do with a list of things you needed to have on the layout!  Mini Alphas, any number of photos, yellow, ribbon,an embellie cluster, distressing, numbers, buttons, extra buttons, and ither staples or stitching and scollop! I even used fabric from scraps of my quilt to make the background and scollop edge along photo!

This quilt I made in 1995 after having a mis- carriage and not being allowed to play tennis for a while! I was busy with work and Cody as a 2 1/2 yr old but needed a hobby!  I took classes for 12 weeks to learn how to make and put together this quilt. It is all hand-stitched even the sashing and quilting done by hand. It was made up of nine squares and each one was a different technique class! It was a lot of work and I have made the top to another quilt but have never put it together! It proudly sits on my arm-chair for me to draw ‘comfort’ from!!!

“Mr Mad!”

This layout I created for Challenge Heaven’s CC and a sketch challenge! I used a pp background, 2 photos, I made the big bracket, used chipboard letters and inked them! It was also a ‘use my stash lo for “The Boxx”! I am up to layout 19 of using my stash, and not buying any new products until I complete my 30 layouts!  Nearly there!

“Fabulous Flourishes!”

I was lucky enough to be invited to do an online class at “Chook Scraps and learn how to make my own flourishes’ using Dimensional Pearls!

This was such an easy technique with wonderful results and I had to share it with you all to make some yourselves and save some money at the same time!

I had  by chance just ordered some of the Dimensional Pearls from Leanne at http://www.madaboutscrappin.com.au/store  and I was just waiting for the post! I made this layout for my “Friday Night In’ challenge at Mad About Scrappn! The top photo is a close up of a butterfly and a flourish I used!

They came yesterday ad I spent this avo making them and a layout to show you them!   To make them you need a few bottles of the pearls a pencil, some white copy paper, some acetate and some flourish designs! I used some templates I had, traced around some chipbord and used some stamps!

You could also use ‘puffy paint’ and ‘Distress Stickles’ for a bit of bling!

  1.  Trace with the pencil, flourish templates or stamp the designs on white paper.

2.  put acetate over the top so you can see your images underneath.

3. shake bottles well before starting.

4. Follow design gently squeezing the bottle so as to make dots along your design! Be careful not to work over your image so you don’t smudge it! if this happens wipe of with baby wipe and start again! If they form little peaks don’t wory they will settle as drying1

5.  Let them dry for about 2 hrs!

6. Cut them out carefully and  store them in zip lock bags for future use!  you can adhere them to your layouts with tiny dabs of glue or spray adhesive!

7. Have fun making them and I bet you can’t stop!

“Cyber Crop LO #2”

This is my second layout for the Mad Cyber Crop! I loved doing this one with a photo of Cody now and when he was 3 months old!  I used a blue background and made clouds from blue felt! I used a bit of lace to soften it a bit and made a cute banner with his name on it! I also matted the photo with teddy bear fabric and made a matching flower! I also had to have it relate to a part of “Somewhere over the Rainbow” I chose the following lyrics;

“I hear babies cry and I watch them grow. They’ll learn so much more than we’ll know, and I think to myself what a wonderful world” –

“Over the Rainbow Cyber Crop Lo”

This is my first challenge layout for Mad About Scrapins ‘Over the Rainbow ‘ Cyber Crop this weekend! I needed a bit of a ‘mojo’ boost and Tarrah’s first challenge was to use one of her Rainbow colour combo’s to create a page! I chose pink and green as I thought it would go nice with this lovely photo of one of mum’s many lilies!

I used fabric for the background and the photo mat and used some crocheted and punch flowers with a bit of lace for the leaves! It was quite a great challenge, but I love that colour combo; it’s a bit ‘shabby’!

“My Page Kit/Swap!”

The photo on the top is of the lovely Page Kit I received to make these two layouts of JJ and Caitlyn with JJ’s mice Scheemeer and Nibbles!  This was such a lovely kit with sooo many goodies in it! What to use?  I printed the photos in black and white as JJ was wearing a very bright blue t-shirt and I wanted to be able to blend the photos in with the lovely brown and pink pp and embellishments!  I wasn’t very happy with the photos as I have a new printer and trying to get used to it!  I tried to keep it ‘Girly’ for Caitlyn’s page and a bit more ‘boyish’ with the browns on JJ’s page!

Sadly we lost Nibbles the little black and white one in April as she had a tumor! Very common in mice so the vet told me!  JJ hasn’t replaced Nibbs and I’m not sure if he will! He was very happy that mum took these photos and I was going to scrap them! Thanks to Amy and Kerri for this lovely kit!

“Page Kit Swap!”

I joined a group at “Home and Scrapped” called Page Kit/Swap. We all put our name on a list then uploaded some photos! The person that was drawn out to make up your kit did so and then sent it off to you in the mail! When recieved we uploaded a pic of what we received in the kit and the lo’s we created!  The above photo shows the kit I made up for Kim to scrap these great photos of her boys! It was great to see how she used the papers and embellishments I sent her!  Well done Kim! I will upload my Kit that was sent to me and the lo’s I created tmorrow! My camera batteries decided to die! LOL

“Flower Layout! – Just Be”

Hi Girls, Just thought I would do a challenge layout today and  use a couple of my flowers to show you!  This layout is for the Home and Scrapped Parcel the Parcel swap. A bunch of goodies gets posted to you from your name on the list; you pick a product and replace it with something else then use it on a layout to show everyone!

I picked a pack of Making Memories mini blossoms and thought they were ideal for this layout of me on holidays at Henty Beach!

I used material for the background and hand stitched around the border.  I stamped the title, inked a flourish and added some flowers and shells! I am quite happy with it!

I am also sending a big thankyou out to my first customers who have ordered my ‘Shabby” flowers! I will be busily making some more in the next few days! I am so happy you like them!

“Flower Prices and Info!”

Good morning  everyone!  Lucky enough today to have the day off, so using the time to upload photos of my flowers I have for sale and their prices!  I have checked the Etsy site and had some input from a couple of lovely scrapers who use flowers in the creations! Their help was invaluable. Thankyou again to all who have encouraged me to do this!

My single crochet flowers above I am selling  3 for $2 and my Layered ones on the right are 3 for $4. They bottom layer measures approx 1 &1/2″ and the cream top layer is approx 1″ wide!  I use 8 ply wool for the bottom and 4 ply for the tops! You can have them with buttons or not if you would rather!  I can make them in pink, blue, white, red and brown and I don’t mind if you have a diff colour you would rather I am sure I can do them for you!

On the left are my “Shabby flowers” which I make 4 layers from muslin and add cream lace and other material and fibres and finish them off with a Rolled Rose or a button!  I can make them in colours to suit you as I have a vast supply of fabric and lace to use! I can package two shabby and one of my pleated flowers for $5. I use old and vintage buttons on these when I can, and the material is 100% cotton!

The photo below gives you a sample of the YoYo and Rolled Roses that I make. These will be 3 for $4. If you only want the roses or the Yo yo’s just let me know that can be done also! I do put a small cardstock base on the bottom of the roses for stability and to make it easier to attach to your projects!

Please bear in mind when ordering that the fabric flowers take me a little longer to make and I also work during the week! I will have them made and posted to you ASAP!

Postage will be minimal as they weigh very light and I can let you know the cost before posting if you require! I think they would only be $1 – $1.50 Australia wide! Payment would have to be direct deposit as I have no other  facilities for payment!  Thanks you so much for your interest! My email is www.stampnaddict@bigpond.com and you can also contact me on 03) 52 315804 if you have any questions or would like to place an order!

Hope to hear from you soon!
