“Time 4 U!”

I sat up last night and made another page, this time a teen one of Cody and Willo!

The boys have a lot of time for their pets and I wanted to document these pics of Cody!

Yes the are spoilt, but that is what they are for! lol!!

I used the Japonica papers again but this time used the reverse for them as they were a bit more masculine!!  I think the dots gave it a bit of color without being girly!!

“Crop Layouts!”

Mary, Sheryn, Pam and I had a great time together scraping and catching up!!  The girls were working on different projects and I got 3 layouts done for my Pretty Paper Class!

I was working on Prompt 3 of Shimelle’s class which is to use some pp in the same theme like a kit! Color co-ordinated and  not too much thinking involved which is great for me!!

I have some lovely Kaiser papers that I wanted to use and black and white pics so I didn’t have color probs! The papers are in a range of designs suitable for any photos!

As the colors are ones I don’t have a lot of embellishments for I misted some doilies etc to match! This was cost-effective for all these layouts and using my stash also! 🙂

This one was a fun challenge I did for The Boxx!  Had to use some ink and masking, twine, quote, large title, hessian and 1 photo! The closest thing to hessian I had was a bit of tulle and I masked the Twiddleybitz butterflies!

These 3 pics of Sam were perfect for this sketch! I scrap lifted this one from Shimelle!  I used some strips of paper on the background pp made a tag and misted some doily!! Using black and white photos made it easier as I didn’t have to compete with the colors!

I had fun with this one of us girls having our monthly scrap together!  I love the colors in these Kaiser papers as they are great to use for any pics! I thought the title was appropriate! lol!

“Sew Thankful!”

This is one we all have been working on this week at Home and Scraped!! A Build A Page courtesy of mwah!!lol!

The girls really enjoy creating a step each to make a one of a kind “Home” page and they sign up very quickly which is great!!

This is my page of mum and I. The pic was taken earlier in the year when she was feeling a lot better than she is atm!! For my step I got the girls to do some sewing on their pages!! Gotta love it for creating some texture!! I made some flowers with my doily punch and stamped some butterfly’s! I fussy cut a few of the flowers from the pp also! All the materials are from my stash!  TFL 🙂 Kerri x

“PPP – Prompt #2 – Always At My Feet!”

This is my 2nd layout for the Pretty Paper Party!! The first layout was using some scraps and this layout was a brave one for me using whole sheets of paper!!!

Sometime I buy paper thinking I will use it, then I think no its too good to cut into!

I think this prompt help me with that and also used some colors I don’t usually scrap with!!!  These pics of Willo always sitting at my feet I had to scrap and didn’t want it real girly but with some nice colors!!! going through my stash was good to remember some of those long forgotten papers I had purchased and not used!!

These Basic Grey papers I bought at last yrs Paper Show in Melbourne and yep, it was time to be brave and cut them up! lol! A bit of layering, inking, I stamped the title, and made the lolly pop flowers from the scraps!!

“PPP Prompt # 1- Sew Much!”

OK the Party has started!!!!

The First Challenge from the Pretty Paper Party from Shimelle is to use pattern paper strips! I haven’t done this for a while and it was good to get some scraps and make a bit of a background!!

Weaving is something I have always wanted to try so on this layout that is what I  did! It took me out of my comfort zone a bit and I wasn’t real sure on how to go about using it once I had made it! I did use some of my SU DSP that I left over from another layout and made a flower and used some of the lovely lace from my RAK from Angie Budden!!!! I did a bit of sewing to keep in the theme of my layout!

I am very happy with my layout and I am really enjoying the PPP so far!

“Come And Join In The Pretty Paper Party!”

The lovely Shimelle Laine who you may of heard of as she is a DT at Two Peas in a Bucket and her own gorgeous blog  is having a four-week class celebrating “Pretty Paper!”  You can’t tell me none of you out there hasn’t got a paper stash a mile high and could do with some scrap therapy to help reduce it and learn some new ideas along the way!!

I have never done one of her classes but as I love her style of scrap-booking and her lovely blog I thought I would join in and learn some new tips and tricks and get some of my seemingly endless ‘paper stash‘ used!!! I am a bit of a ‘collector’ and I am not very color savvy and have difficulty mixing and matching pattern papers! So I hope I might get over this hurdle with Shimelle’s class!!!

The classes started on the 17th of October but you can join in any time and work at your own pace!  All the info you need is in the Forum and you can access it forever once you sign up!

Lots of ladies from all over the world are joining in and what fun I am going to have! So excited to be doing one of her classes!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

All the information to join in is on her blog here

I have started by introducing myself to everyone and downloading my first 6 PDF’s! a bit to catch up on but it will be fun!!!!

The first little challenge is an Ice-Breaker!! This is a little challenge to take a picture of your “pretty paper stash”!

Here is mine with my basket and flowing over to my 12×12 storage files, as it was getting a little much for the poor basket! I also have a Creative Memories storage system with all my SU papers and card-stock and precious scraps that I keep separate for classes! I must have know I was going to sign up as I had a paper shuffle and tidy up yesterday!!!! I have resorted a bit and re-made my dividers!!!

I really don’t think I have a big stash as I have seen some of the other ladies and mine is quite meek!! lol! I love being a SU demonstrator and I love their products, but I love other Companies as well!!!! I am very partial to Basic Grey and Kaiser craft!!!

Stay tuned for my first challenge which I am looking forward to and go over and join in the fun! You wont be dissapointed with all the work Shimelle has put into this wonderful class!!!!
