“365 Page Layout Ideas!”

Thought I would post for any of you thinking about doing this awesome challenge some ideas for displaying your photos for each week! I just Googled the topic and found some other ladies inspiring creations!

I really like this double layout style for the week shown here! Simple design, minimal embellishment and the most important journaling about the weeks activities!

The layout second from the bottom is done with the divided 4×6 page protectors! You can buy them  from me as Kaszazz sell the “Show and Tell” Pocket Pages.  I would make my own 2×3″ journal cards to go in the spare pockets! Very simple and quick which is the idea!

I hope these few ideas have taken the ‘scare’ factor away for you and you can see it’s not as hard as you might think to accomplish!

I havent quite decided which way I am going to go, but once I have some photos taken it will just follow on from there!

“365 Ideas For Taking Photos!”

I found this great pdf file at Creating keepsakes Magazine for an article that has 365 photo ideas if you get stuck with what to photograph! It has some great ideas and I have it handy to get some ides for when I get stuck! Hope it helps!

I can email it to you if you would like it! just contact me at

“New Year’s Resolutions!”

I am not one that usually make New Years Resolutions as I know I am not able to commit to them!

This year I have decided to change that trend and actively try to improve myself!

I only have 3 which I thought are quite achievable!

1.  To lose at least 5 kilo’s by the time I have to see my doctor in April! For my own personal health and well-being.   I plan to be on this earth a long time and be healthy living  my life!!!!

2. To save  some money this yr and hopefully have  a nice amount in the bank in December!

3. To purge my scrapbook stash and doing project 365 will help me there and help with my No 2  resolution!

Have you any goals you would like to share? Let me know and we can work on them together!

Hope you all have a lovely New Years Eve and be safe and happy! x

“PROJECT LIFE 365- 2011!”

What is Becky Higgins Project 365 you ask?  This is a big scrapbook/photography challenge! If you check out her blog her you will get the idea.      This blog also gives you a great look at the project!

For those of you who are new to the game, Project 365 is a way to document the everyday little occurrences of your life for a whole year. Every day you take a picture and write a little blurb about your picture. It is a way to capture those little wonderful things that might otherwise be overlooked in “normal” scrapbooking.

I will be taking my camera everywhere, so watch out you might be in my album!  It is a big commitment and I am really wanting to do this!

I am hoping to be ale to buy the Becky Higgins kit for 2011, but if not I will make a double  layout a week with 7 pics and jornaling to show what memories I am documenting! I think it will also be a great way to make one of New Yrs Resolution happen!  No 3 Using my stash!! lol!

It is quite simple really, one photo and a bit of journaling ( not a whole layout!), that would be impossible to keep up with! lol!

Why do Project 365?

  • It’s a great way to get in the habit of taking pictures on a daily basis.
  • You will improve as a photographer because you will be practicing every day.
  • The year will be documented in photos from beginning to end.

SO WHO IS GOING TO DO PROJECT 365 WITH ME?  so starting January 1st 2011, I will keep you updated here, with a page I have made in my sidebar,  with my progress and if you want to join in with me please do! xx                                              I feel even our “Daily Lives’ are document worthy! To look back on and see all the ‘moments’ you may have missed!

I am going to enjoy the process of making my album and “I hope you do too!” x

“A Very Merry Xmas!”

These are a few pics I took on Xmas Day of our tree, pressies and the boys! I Couldn’t con them into the santa hats this yr! lol! Cody wrapping Xmas Eve, the presssies under the tree, my famous’ Choc Ripple Cake and the boys opening their pressies and of course Sam in the tinsel!

We had a lovely lunch of Ham, turkey, chicken with all the trimmings, with Trifle and Choc ripple cake for after! I couldnt fit mine in so I had my traditional Xmas  tea of Dessert! yummo!

Oh and that lovely Siver Heart necklace I have on, ‘my Santa” gave me that with a bracelet! I must have been good! lol!

Now to do it all again for our’ family get together’ on Sunday! OMG!

“Xmas Wishes!”

Morning everyone and Merry Xmas! Hope your day is starting out wonderfully!

Just thought I would wish you all the best for today and for 2011.  Thankyou to all my friends, customers, and followers of my blog throughout the yr for your support! To all my online friends I have made during the yr wish we could all be together!

I hope you all have the best day wherever you are, whatever you are doing and whoever you are with!  My boys are coming to our house for lunch and pressie’s. Will  pop down and see Gran and Papa and then home to dad later on!

My sis and her family are coming down next weekend and we are having a lovely surprise here for them!  Mum has been very busy and we thought a lovely xmas at my place with all of us would be nicer than the pub! Looking forward to catching up with her and seeing my niece and nephews!

Then in the New Yr my wonderful friend Jacqui her husband Steve and their 4 children are coming for a visit before they head back to Tassie! Cant wait to see them all!

Enjoy your day everyone and make sure you eat too much because I am going to!  Better go and get those vegies done!

Love to all

“My 1st Twiddleybitz Layout!”

This is my first layout I have created for

Mum came around last week and gave me a re-fresher course on using my sewing machine! As I havent used it since JJ was a baby I sort of forgot a few things! Of course mum was happy to help and Cody snapped a few pics of us!

I had to use them on a layout with my Twiddleybitz Mini Scrolls and one of their lovely little owls!

Using black and white photos made it easier to scrap without worrying about colour too much! I used some layering of pp, old sewing tissue patterns and fabric! I sewed on my layout and stitched bits to my lo! I made some yo-yo’s from fabric and some rolled roses with the tissue pattern! I also had some more bits from Mel P’s lovely ‘vintage kit’ to use on it also! (the doilies and gorgeous button!) I had a great time making this memory of mum and I and I am so happy with the way it turned out!
