“Double Layout!”

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are coping with the heat here in Aus atm! We are lucky in Vic, not too bad and cool again today! Started a layout a couple of days ago,but as it was 40 degrees yesterday it got left on my desk until today to finish!!

I had these photos from my weekend visit to my sister in Ballarat last Nov and thought I had better get them in an album!! Didn’t just want to plop them all on one page so decided on a double! 🙂 We had a great weekend, and went to the Spring Festival that is held every year around their lake! It was a good day, browsed the markets and spend some time together 🙂

003-001This was a fun one using up a bit of my stash and the sketch that I pinned onto my 4×6 Board over at http://pinterest.com/pin/190699365443329574/

“I Luv Washi!”

As you know I do and I created this page for my BOM to document that! I used a sketch from one of Amelia who is one of the lovely girls over at The Boxx! You will find her sketch and lovely work here http://millybugsblogspot.blogspot.com.au/

This was fun to do using some washi of course! I was going to do an 8.5 x 11 size but couldn’t be bothered re printing my photos smaller so went for the 12×12. I am putting it into my BOM album!

It is so much fun to use, it is bright and makes me feel happy!

I created the hearts using it also and the bits through the tag as well! 🙂

“Show & Tell!”

I had the urge to scrap last night at 10pm! lol!! I wanted to have a go at Heather’s Mid Week Sketch # 36 and my layout wouldn’t go to plan! For some reason circles sort of throw me?

This is Heather’s fun sketch which I converted to my smaller size. 🙂

These were a couple of photos of J in Yr 5 and they had a special day for pets! Of course we had to bring Willo! she was pretty nervous and had a couple of little accidents but nothing phased JJ and the kids loved her! 🙂

I used a choc- chip base for this layout and some scraps of some October Afternoon, Science Fair papers that I have loved to create this one! 🙂 I just made a few pinwheels and used and cut an embellie from the pp!

“Back 2 School & a Layout!”

I have had a busy day today with Jayden my 15 year old!  He is ready to go back to school next yr and he will be in Yr 10. I have been home schooling him since May 2010, and he has been handling it really well!

With school holidays only 2 days away we wanted to get it finalized so he didn’t miss out on any subjects! We spoke to the Yr 10 Co-ordinator over at the College today and he has picked his subjects and I am enrolling him again tomorrow!

He is very excited and look forward to seeing his friends and getting back to a normal school life next yr!! He will be doing 4 compulsory subjects, 6 electives and an extra VET (Victorian Education & Training) subject in Automotive which will give him a certificate at the end of Yr 11. I am very proud of him and I know he is ready to go back to school in 2013!!

I also wanted today to get Gina’s challenge done over at The Boxx and was trying to find a couple of pics that would suit her sketch! I found these two of a camping trip from a few years a go!

I don’t mind camping but it is a bit rough with no ladies amenities! Yes you can laugh but not funny I can tell you! Never will I be going there again un-prepared!!

This is Gina’s 12×12 sketch for us to use!

(Click on image for a better view! 🙂 )

And this is my 8.5x 11 version of her sketch! I used some retired SU papers, my new markers with my spritzing tool to create my misted background, new doily dies, Language of Friendship stamp set and match punch.

“A Bit Of A Scrap!”

I went over to Heather’s Sketch blog for a peek yesterday and found this lovely sketch of hers over there!

I used it to create this layout for mum, Cody and Crystal when they were only 6-12 months old!! They are nearly 20 now! Where has that time gone. They are wonderful young adults!

I used all SU except the couple of Twiddleybitz flourishes!

I only had a few scraps left over from making the flowers and bits etc so I made this small 4×4 Than you note card!

“Couple More CC Layouts!”

Today I finished off a couple more challenge for our CC this weekend!  The boys aren’t  here till tmorrow so I have used the bit of extra spare time I have had this weekend!!

This first one is Leah’s NEW challenge;  to scrap about something new so I decided to scrap about my NEW Scrap Space I have created!

My next layout was Heather’s great sketch and I used these Pics of the boys up at my sister’s last weekend!

Above is Heather’s sketch to use as inspiration and below is my interpretation!

I masked the border instead of sewing it and I used smaller pics and used male themed embellies!

“Mid Week Sketch Challenge!!”

This lovely sketch is by Heather Waldron at Home and Scraped! Heather gives us a Mid Week challenge which is great to look forward to! She also has a scrap blog at

http://scrapysketches.blogspot.com/ you will find some great inspiration here to get the mojo going!!

This is my take on her sketch! I used a few more photos wallet sized instead of the 4×4 size and still had enough room!

You can make the sketch your own as it is a guide to help you place your photos, embellies and journaling!! All my bits and pieces are from my stash!! 🙂

Hop on over and have a peek!
