As you know if you read my blog, I am flat out with my Age Care course and not having much time to play in my scrap space 😦 I am enjoying the course and finished Module 5 Assessment 🙂
I have had the flu this week and not feeling that great, also my Aunty passed away and I was unable to take mum to her funeral 😦 I was feeling a bit better today and I was itching to do something crafty. I had some photos of my mums family and I wanted to put them onto a canvas for her to brighten up her room and hopefully cheer her up 🙂
The canvas I decided on was quite large and I wanted to have a few photos on it! I decided on the four that looked the best and off I went 🙂 I painted it all over roughly with some Kaiser blue pain then I had fun adding some layers and texture with some stamps and texture paste. I had fun using a Kaiser mask, crafters workshop template, and some bubble wrap to get some depth 🙂 I used some Tim Holtz chipboard, D-Lish flowers and bits and bobs from my stash as well 🙂
I used these family photos, taken at a family gathering a few weeks ago. As mum doesn’t remember she has photo albums in her wardrobe, I thought this would brighten her room up and she can see it everyday 🙂
The flower cluster is gorgeous flowers from http://d-lishscraps.openstores.com.au/ I buy white ones and then I just colour them with Distress Stain and Glimmer mist to match my project 🙂 The Tim Holtz chippy and the leaves I bought from a couple of lovely sellers at the Aussie Scrap Garage Group of FB 🙂
I am hoping to do a bit more scrapping will see what happens 🙂
TFL 🙂 Kerri x
