"Do You Journal?"

I must admit I have been lacking in the journaling part of my scrap booking, but that is changing! I think I have realized I like telling a bit more of the story on my layouts and doing ”one little word’ has really helped me see its importance!

I am journaling everyday this yr as a challenge to myself and so I have more of our stories written down!  I couldn’t find a bought journal that I really liked so I decided to make my own and use some things out of my stash!

I was going to alter a book, but would have been too bulky so instead I pulled all the pages out and up cycled it!

    This is the book I attacked! I ended up taking the spine out also to make it easier to bind.

This is the finished front cover! I sanded it first then added the title, stamped and masked with gesso, and the butterflies with paint! Finished off with a bit of washi which u will see though out my journal!

I used different pattern papers from my stash with index cards, tags and postcards to journal on and I will add some photos here and there!

  These are just a few pages that I have slightly decorated with stamps and washi! It isn’t too big that it wont fit in my bag if I go anywhere and can jot down things if I want too! Why don’t you have a go at making your own! I am getting into the habit of sitting down in the evening and writing in my days events, good or bad whatever goes on!
